The voluptuous organic form of the Eames La Chaise was an evolution of the plywood chair developed a year earlier in collaboration with architect Eero Saarinen . A startling innovation in chair design, its expressive outline was made possible by technological advances in moulding fibreglass to create free-form shells for flexible seating. Our inspired version of the La Chaise is available with Rose Wood or Walnut feet and is a dramatic piece for office reception areas, galleries and museums, as well as the stylish homes.
