In the 1940s, Charles and Ray Eames began experimenting with wood-molding techniques that used thin sheets of wood veneer to construct a wide range of shapes. Those experiments have had a profound effect on the world of design, giving way to the Plywood Lounge Chair, LCW (1945). The construction of the LCW chair was highly innovative and was also used to create a range of complimentary products including a dining chair and coffee. The inspired LCW chair provides a surprisingly comfortable seat which is also lightweight and practical.
